In India, many people are still unaware about the energy-efficient LED lights. So to make them aware about the benefits of the LED lights and to spread the message of energy conservation in the country, Prime Minister of India: Mr. Narendra Modi launched a new scheme for LED bulb distribution. Under Domestic Efficient Lighting Programme (DELP) in Delhi and a National Programme for LED-based Home & Street Lighting scheme, LED bulbs will be distributed for Rs. 10 to all domestic consumers who register for DELP online or offline.

The aim of this initiative is to reduce energy consumption in the country & save the environment. Initially, the scheme will be available in Delhi, starting from March 2015. The whole project of installing LED bulbs (for domestic and street-lights in 100 cities) will be completed until March 2016.

Domestic consumers will get LED bulbs worth Rs 400-500 for an initial payment of Rs.10 each. But, they have to pay Rs.120 for each LED bulb. Rs.10 per month will be added to their electricity bill for 12 months. The total amount you have to pay for each LED bulb is Rs.130.

The LED bulb will come with 3 years free replacement warranty. You can buy only two LED bulbs under this scheme. By switching to one LED bulb, you can save Rs.162 annually.

Registration Process

Pre-registration for DELP Delhi has been started. Delhiites can register for the DELP Delhi via two ways: online and SMS.

Online: Logon to www.eeslindia.org/Delhi-Launch and click on Delhi DELP pre-registration banner located on the right-hand side of the homepage. Just, provide your CA Number found on your electricity bill and enter the Captcha Code. Your registration will be completed.

SMS: You can send a SMS to a designated number.

    But When I Entered CA no. it shows this CA no. is not in our Record.

  16. On January 06, 2015, I made a pre-registration vide reference number DEL0005424 to avail the DELP scheme. I expected that the LED bulbs would be delivered sometime in March, as was announced in newspapers. But I am still waiting for the LED bulbs to receive.

    I have got Pre- registered on line to avail two LED Bulbs on 06-01-2015 and my reference No is : DEL0006047, with an assurance that the distribution of bulbs will start from 1st March, 2015, in your advertisement appeared in Hindustan Times dated,05-01-2015, but nothing happened till date i. e. 16-04-2015.   26. This is to inform you that on 28aug2015 . I went to get LED’S AT Krishna nagar Bses office at 10 am but your eesl distributor employees did not came and i waited till 11 am.
    After that I called to your SO CALLED STUPID CUSTOMER CARE in which in 1. No. Is not responding 7042595719 always and 2nd no. 7042595718 was busy 99%.
    My call connected any how on 7042595718 and I talked with a stupid lady said right now they are not DISTRIBUTING IN EAST DELHI.
    CURRENTLY DISTRIBUTING IN WEST & SOUTH DELHI.
    So please do the necessary correction in your department then post any advertisement.

    Just for your knowledge i also contacted to STUPID BSES OFFICER they said EESL is not under BSES so they dont know about them weather eesl distributor employee coming or not.
    I have also sent the email to ” customercare_delhihelp@eesl.co.in” but ” Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently: ” email sent on 29aug2015.
